Most stock attache backgammon sets should ship within 2 weeks from the receipt of your order, while tabletop sets usually take a little longer. Mah Jong sets involve much more detailed effort and can take 6 to 8 weeks or longer to ship. Please refer to each item page for specific shipping estimates, but keep in mind that things do change. If you have a “can’t miss” situation, please call or email us immediately, and we’ll find a solution together.

We primarily ship via UPS and also offer USPS as an option. In general, we prefer UPS over USPS for reliability, and “Priority Mail” is not necessarily faster than UPS Ground.  Time in transit will vary depending on where you are located. The closer you are to Rhode Island, the faster you will receive your item. USPS shipping times are hard to predict, but UPS shipping to the New England states and NY metro area/Long Island just takes 1 business day, Chicago 2 days, Florida 3 days, and Texas/California take 4-5 business days. If you’re shipping to Hawaii or Alaska you will probably be better off with USPS for price and delivery time. Please keep in mind that UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box, so those shipments will need to go via USPS. Whichever carrier is used, you will receive an email with the tracking number when your order ships.

• Yes, we ship internationally on a regular basis. We offer USPS and UPS shipping. With USPS, parcels are passed on to the postal service in the destination country, which collects any taxes/duties owed and makes the delivery. UPS will clear packages through customs for you but does charge a brokerage fee for their service in addition to any taxes/duties that might be owed. 
• If you are sending a gift to someone in another country, please know that they will be asked to pay any duties and taxes that are owed to receive the item.
• USPS statements about delivery timeframes are an estimate only and are not guaranteed. We find that they usually take quite a bit longer to deliver than what is stated. UPS tends to be more timely with deliveries, but you can face additional fees (see above.)
•  The postage calculator will display the costs in your cart once you have chosen the desired country and entered the appropriate postal code. If you are ordering multiple items the calculator might return a high number. In that case, please email us to request a combined shipping cost.  We cannot combine backgammon sets, however: Each set ships in its own box, so shipping two sets will cost twice as much as shipping one set.
• International shipping costs cover transportation only and do NOT include customs clearance charges, duties, VAT, or other fees that the customer might encounter upon delivery. We have no way of knowing what these charges will be in advance, and paying them is the responsibility of the recipient. 
• Shipping documents will reflect the actual price of the product(s) being shipped, as required by law.

We use these terms to refer to sizes, with Tournament being the larger of the two. The sizes of each item can be found on the item description page.

Tabletop boards have a rigid wooden frame that does not fold. Attaché cases fold for storage and have storage compartments for the accessories.

The Classic Blue set is one of our entry level sets and is priced very attractively. It ships with plastic cups and opaque dice. The Anchor Blue set has an upgraded textile exterior and ships with leather cups and pearl dice.

We no longer cover the center bar of any sets due to feedback from customers.

Unfortunately, we do not offer custom mahjong sets at this time. The amount of design and pre-production work required for our mahjong sets would make this extremely cost-prohibitive. 

Yes, we can install new fields and bumpers and put a new handle on. We typically do not replace hinges and latches, and we can not recover the exterior. Please keep in mind that there will be some times during the year when we are not able to accept refurbishment orders. Prices start at $150, please contact us for more information.

If you would like to return an item, please call or email us. There is a 15% restocking fee for all items. The customer is responsible for paying return postage and securely packing all items so they return in like-new condition. Damaged items may be assessed an additional fee. 

Custom orders are final sale and are not eligible for returns/refunds. Discounted items sold as “seconds”/imperfect are also final sale and not eligible for return.

All returns must be received within two weeks of initial receipt of item.

If you ordered any of our marbleized checkers, they will each be unique in the swirl pattern. This is because we hand-pour and color all of our checkers, so from batch to batch there will be unpredictable variations that make your checkers unique and beautiful. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
