Welcome to the family.

Mahjong is a game that brings people together. But learning traditional mahjong can take time, practice, and a table of players who already know the ropes.

Family Mahj changes that.

Designed to be learned quickly and enjoyed by the whole family, Family Mahj makes it easy for new players to discover the fun of mahjong. With simple gameplay and a little friendly competition, kids, parents, grandparents, and first-timers can all sit down at the same table and play together.

Inspired by the spirit of Mahjong for Juniors, the beloved game created by New York City commercial artist Sid Sevell in the early 1960s, Family Mahj brings that same sense of fun, color, and accessibility to a new generation. Its story is one of rediscovery, connection, and the timeless joy of learning something new together.

At Crisloid, we believe great games should be thoughtfully designed and built to be enjoyed. While our manufacturing roots are proudly American, Family Mahj, as an imported set, gives us a way to share our designs with more people and families.

Whether you’re introducing a child to their first game, gathering generations around the table, or discovering mahjong yourself, Family Mahj is an invitation to play, laugh, learn, and make memories together.
